What is a Bunded Oil Tank?

A Bunded Oil Tank is simply a tank with another outer layer around it or in other words, a tank within a tank. With the outer tank usually around 10% bigger than the inner tank the double skinned tank means that any leak will be contained. Should the inner tank become damaged then the contents will be contained by the outer tank which in turn protects the inner tank from outside damge. A Non Bunded or single skin tank is obviously a tank with no outer layer.
